The Central Board of Secondary Education on Saturday announced the results for the Class XII Senior School Certificate Examination 2016. Sukriti Gupta of Delhi’s Montfort School topped the exams nationally, scoring 497 out of 500.
She was Followed by 2 girls from Haryana, Palak Goyal and Somya Uppal with 496 and 495 marks respectively.
As many as 10,67,900 candidates registered for the board exam this year, which were held from March 1 to April 22. Girls fared better than boys with a pass percentage of 88.58%. Boys scored a pass percentage of 78.85%, ANI reported. State capital of Kerala Thiruvananthapuram recorded the highest overall pass percentage in the country at 97.61%.
Students can SMS “cbse12” to 51115 for their scores. The results are also available on Android app DigiResults and like last year, on interactive voice response services, PTI reported. Students can check their results here, here and here.
